Bells of Ireland
Bells of Ireland are available during the spring from California and have year-round availability from South America. Packed 7-10 stems per bunch. Bells of Ireland features tall stalks of unusual, cup-shaped leaves, commonly mistaken for petals. The flowers’ petals, or corollas, form inside the calyces and are often not readily visible. Vase life is 7-10 days. Stems have small thorns that may irritate the skin, so some people prefer using gloves with this flower. Bells of Ireland are often used in tall vase arrangements and bouquets, especially in St. Patrick’s Day arrangements because of its natural green color.
